Angellynn Tam I bought the bare necessities kit thinking that I would need the chawan to help mix my matcha. Although I found out that if you get it with the electric whisk, it difficult to mix the matcha because it splatters everywhere (matcha showers they call it). My suggestion for others is if you are interested in the electric whisk to only get that. Use a tumbler or tall cup to mix your matcha (no matcha showers) to save yourself some $$, unless you want the chawan just to have it or use it for a different purpose.
