How to Prepare a Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte

Pumpkin spice meets matcha for the perfect latte - enjoyable by tea lovers and regular coffee drinkers alike! Our recipe uses oat milk for a creamy plant-based autumnal treat, making it ideal for anyone who needs a little spice in their life 😉

Here's what you'll need: 

PUMPKIN SPICE MILK

1 cup oat milk (or your favorite milk)
2½ tbsp Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Butter (or pumpkin puree)
2 tsp sugar (or your choice of sweetener)
1 tsp pumpkin spice (also known as pumpkin pie spice)
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

MATCHA SHOT

1 tsp Junbi matcha
½ cup water

TOPPINGS (OPTIONAL)

Whipped cream
Cinnamon (for sprinkling)

Makes one 12 oz serving

Here's how it's done: 

STEP 1: COMBINE PUMPKIN, MILK, & SUGAR

In a small saucepan, add pumpkin butter, oat milk, and sugar.Feel free to add more or less sweetener to your personal taste. Heat over medium-low heat until the mixture is well combined and comes to a simmer - but not a boil!

STEP 2: ADD PUMPKIN SPICE & VANILLA

Once simmering, whisk in pumpkin spice and vanilla extract (if using) and mix until well incorporated. If you have an electric whisk, it'll help make your pumpkin spice milk nice 'n' frothy!

STEP 3: PREPARE MATCHA

Whisk water and matcha in a bowl using a bamboo whisk or frother - You'll know it's ready when your tea looks smooth and frothy, about 30-45 seconds.
 

STEP 4: FINISH MAKING THE LATTE

Pour matcha and pumpkin spice milk into a mug. Top it off with whipped cream and cinnamon for extra cozy fall vibes 🍂💛
