How to Prepare a Dalgona Matcha

Dalgona coffee & matcha have recently taken the internet by storm, and we have no trouble seeing why! Think: matcha latte, but extra creamy and extra dreamy. We whipped up this quick Dalgona Matcha recipe so you can become a matcha-rista at home and see exactly why everyone’s (Dal)gone crazy for this new drink!

Prep time: 10 min

Here's what you'll need:

1 egg white

Simple syrup (1 tbsp sugar dissolved into 1 tbsp water)
½ tsp Junbi matcha
8 oz of your favorite milk
Electric hand mixer

 

Here's how it's done:

STEP 1: WHIP THE EGG

Whip the egg white until frothy with a whisk, hand mixer, handheld frother or  an electric hand mixer (suggested method to not break a sweat while whisking).

STEP 2: POUR

Pour in your cooled simple syrup (heat may cook the egg!) and continue whipping until stiff peaks form.

STEP 3: ADD MATCHA

 Add in matcha and whip until combined.

STEP 4: POUR & LAYER

Pour your milk of choice into a cup and top off with the whipped matcha.

STEP 5: SHARE & ENJOY

To drink, thoroughly mix your milk & whipped matcha. If you’d like to keep the layers separate, we recommend sipping straight from your cup or moving your straw up & down to make sure you’re tasting both the milk and whipped matcha!
